DISC personality coaching is an internationally recognised tool that will help you perform better. Specifically, by learning to become a master communicator, improve relationships, avoid conflict and better understand those around you.

What is DISC personality coaching?

DISC is a model of human behaviour that positively impacts on team dynamics, so people have a greater understanding of their strengths and how their behaviour preferences impact on others. For instance, if a person communicates to you according to your behavioural preferences, you are more likely to be receptive and respond positively.

Research has shown that you can group behavioural characteristics together into four major groups. In other words, people with similar styles tend to exhibit specific behavioural characteristics common to that style. All people share these four styles in varying degrees of intensity. The acronym DISC stands for the four personality styles represented by the following letters:

D (Dominant, Driver)

I (Influencing, Inspiring)

S (Steady, Stable)

C (Correct, Conscientious)

The DISC model opens the doorway to effective communication allowing you to modify your language and behaviour to manage people in any given environment. Moreover, people respond better to people they like and understand. People are different but, with knowledge of their DISC profile, they are predictably different. During the session you will learn how to minimise misunderstandings and take the mystery out of everyday interactions with others.

What happens?

Each participant will complete an online assessment and subsequently receive a 15 page detailed report which details your DISC style.

This is followed by a 90 minute confidential 1-2-1 coaching session to explore your profile and identify possible beneficial outcomes (relationships, personal development) and agree individual action plans. During this session we can explore the other styles present in teams, peers and stakeholder network if available.

If you and your team would like to work collaboratively to understand the DISC model and how to use the model to improve team collaboration and performance, then you can choose to follow your 1-2-1 coaching sessions with a 2 hour group workshop which covers:

 

  • A refresh of the DISC model and key attributes of each style especially in relation to team performance and communication.
  • Key learnings about how styles interact and how to work effectively together.
  • Sharing of DISC profile responses (individually and team).
How can DISC coaching help you?

I also offer DISC personality coaching sessions to individuals looking to learn how to understand people better and communicate effectively, helping you to foster better relationships with partners, your children, family members and colleagues.

How does it work?
